Custom Orthotics

Gait and biomechanical examination, foot casting, and requisition of custom orthotics

Orthotics are biomechanical medical appliances that are worn in the shoes. They are custom molded and designed to correct your specific foot imbalances. Orthotics can reduce stress and strain on your entire body by bringing your feet, your foundation, back into proper alignment. Our orthotics are built to our specifications by The Orthotic Group lab in Markham, Ontario. We can provide you with orthotics for specific footwear, activities, or needs such as walking, running, golf, basketball, soccer, skating, safety boots, dress shoes, children’s shoes, osteoarthritis, and diabetic neuropathy. Symptoms of poor foot mechanics can include: foot pain, bunions, hammer toes, arch pain, heel pain/ spurs, leg pain, knee pain/ popping, hip pain, back pain and neck pain. Many extended health care plans will cover orthotics.

As part of the orthotic biomechanical and gait assessment we include a computerized analysis with the GaitScan pressure-sensitive plate, and a Structure Sensor 3D scan of the foot.
