Chiropractic Care — all ages

Spinal Care and Wellness Care:
Network Spinal Care, extremity mobilization, muscle therapies, Eden Energy Medicine techniques and exercises

Network Spinal Care is a very gentle therapy and can be helpful to all members of the family, from newborns to the elderly, as part of a preventative and restorative approach. For expectant mothers, Network Care can assist with low back pain, leg cramps, and the fatigue common with pregnancy. In addition, Network Spinal Care helps ensure that the expecting mom’s pelvic joints remain mobile and prepared for an easier labor and delivery. For younger members of the family, Network Spinal Care may assist with such common childhood conditions as infant colic, sleep difficulties and chronic earaches. Regular care may also help with learning and attention problems at school. Network Spinal Care is a gentle approach, suitable even for those with weakened bones or joints. We also use other energy-balancing techniques and exercises to help as you heal and progress with your care. Our methods are based on Eden Energy Medicine. These techniques trace back to ancient healing traditions such as yoga, tai chi, qigong, and acupuncture. These techniques have been adapted to modern practice and do not require adherence to any set of spiritual beliefs or practices. The core concept is that your personal well-being is directly related to the state of your body’s subtle energies. We can assess how your energies are flowing through specific areas of your body, and then identify which techniques or exercises will be most beneficial to move, balance, enhance, or restore your body’s energies.

As part of a full spinal exam, we do a PostureScreen posture analysis. We also do a MyoVision spinal EMG (electromyography) scan, a non-invasive measure of muscular activity along the spine which can indicate areas of injury, compensation, or fatigue.

Extremity Care and Muscle Therapies:
Extremity mobilization and adjustment, Trigger Point Therapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), and other Eden Energy Medicine muscle techniques.

Home Exercise Recommendations:
After the initial assessment, and as needed, exercises guidelines and self-care suggestions may be given to help with your progress. Recommendations may include some of the following: customized stretch or strength training, yoga or qigong, mindful breathing techniques, energy balancing exercises etc.

Chiropractic care is covered under most Extended Health Care Plans. Currently, there is no Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) coverage of chiropractic services.
